I would like to know what the temperature needs to be to salt the hide and also how long you can leave the hide salted before you pickle it. I have salted two hides in fairly warm temperature and on one of them the hair slipped after the pickling.

The hides you mentioned probably slipped long before they ever reached the pickle and even likely before you salted them.
In warm/hot weather, a hide should be fleshed and salted just as soon as possible. Any lapse between the time the animal dies and the salt is on the hide allows bacteria to grow and the hair follicle to release. Spring bear are a PRIME example. Salt should be done and the hide allowed to drain without puddling. The next day it should be resalted again and this usually is enough to stop puddling. If a pickle is available, the hide should go in on day 3 at the EARLIEST. The pickle can't be totally effective unless all the moisture has been leeched out by the salt.
