I am in the process of mounting a whitetail cape, and low and behold I find out that the mannikin is too big around the neck. I measured twice - but apparently wrong. Everything else fits well and looks well. However, I have set the eyes, put in the earliners, put hide paste on, and now I am stuck with a half-finished mount. Can I put the hide back in the freezer and order another manikin? Should I pull out the earliners? I used dry preservative on it (used a beginner kit from WASCO).
