It´s used to lower the PH to proper level (2 or below) in the pickle bath. I have never tried it, I use formic acid for this. Are You a real beginner or do You know anything about tanning skins? You can mail me if You like (feel free to write norweigan if so, I´ll answer in swedish.) Best/B.S.
