I just got done with my first squirrel using a dry perservative and in a few parts the skin shrunk were I did not have a pin and I was wondering if there is a way to make it softer.

DP is a drying agent and not a tanning agent. When it dries, you CAN rehydrate the spot and pin it, but trying to soften it will stress the skin and fracture it.
