1. After working on fish, my hands smell for days. What can I uses to get rid of the smell after I'm done.
2. I seen in the WASCO catalog they have a fish tan but havent seen it in any other catalogs. Is this the best way to preserve a fish skin? - or which method is best?

And if #1 isn't what a tough guy really wants to be caught in, try the Hand Cleaner from Newton Supply (1-800-888-2467). It rids fish oil immediately as well as beaver, otter, and essence de Pew.
Best thing I have run across is toothpaste!
Scrub your hands with any good toothpaste and it
works great; a real marriage saver, BTW!
wet your hands, pour salt on them and rub em together.Smell gone.Works for me.
Larry, I'm sorry, but this is one of those LMAO posts. One of us does taxidermy differently. The last thing I want on my cut and cracked up hands is a fist full of salt for any reason. Doesn't do a whole lot for dermititis either, I'd bet. Wearing rubber gloves is the very best scent, mud, blood, and gore remover available. Just peel them off and trash them when you're finished.
.....Try washing your hands with vinegar to get rid of fish smell...Lloyd
Contrary to your "lmao" post, salt works great and is an old tip that still works today. It doesn't seem to cause problems with my hands, especially when you're rubbing your palms together. If you've got a problem with the cracks in your hand, try using soap with the salt to quicken the process. Although, I've never had a problem with the salt burning when in the cuts.
whos gonna put on a pair of gloves every single time they work on a fish? Not many I bet.Sounds like a waste of money.Salt is a lot cheaper. And you dont use a"handful",just a couple tablespoons. It works.
I wondered about salt burning hands if they were cut up. Guess I will just use gloves. I Thought there may be some wild so obvious cure for fish smelling hands (other than gloves) that I couldn't think of it! Tried the archieve search but still didn't quite get the answer on the fish tan I was looking for.
