I have read the archives and gotten conflicting opinions. What is a sufficient amount of time for Hydromist paints to dry between switching colors and shading?

Many times I dont allow it to dry and other times I speed the drying up, using rubbing alcohol. Since I paint each fish as a individual specimen drying time in a variable.
For some to say five minutes would not be correct for everyone as humidity deals bad blows with paints in different regions.
