Hello,
I am just starting on freeze-dry pets and have a few questions.
1. Is it necessary to drain or vent the brain cavity before drying?
2. Can anyone suggest which eyes to use for dogs & cats and how change the different shades of color?
3. I was thinking of using "Presevz It" to eliminate mildew, is this needed?
Thanks for your help, Steve.

my number is 856-678-2464 if you would like to call but you should remove the brains of most everything being that brains are mainly a form of fat and we know fat does not freeze dry. normally most dogs have a form of a broewn eye and cats iether a yellow/green or yellow. tohichen can help with these things. as far as preserve it, i dont use it. i put camfer crystals in the chest cavities. this is a form of moth balls. you confuse me when you say mildew. if you specimen is completly dry there shouldnt ever be mildew. mildew has to grow in moist conditions and if your getting that i would have to say you pieces arent "completly" dry and you very well may have problems down the road. you have to be sure they are dry, dry, dry. again, i feel if your getting mildew that there is a problem with your process of determining if you item is dry
Where can i find sights to learn and do a project on freeze drying cats?
