I'm just starting on my first mule deer shoulder mount.When roughing up the form i am loosing alot of the detail.Am i sanding too much and should i try to cut it back in with sandpaper and if i do can i make the muscles show a little more then they did originally?Thanks Lloyd

Too agressive with the paper. The Stout Ruffer is another one. Best thing going is the Mannikin Scratcher from WASCO. And that's ALL you need to do: scratch the surface.

JUST WIPE OFF REAL WELL WITH LAQUER THINNER! ALL YOUR DOING IS REMOVING ANY LEFTOVER RELEASE AGENT FROM YHE FORM MOLD, NOT TRYING TO SAND THE FORM AWAY. NEVER HAD A PROBLEM. IF YOUR WORRIED ABOUT DRUMMING ITS EITHER THE GLUE OR YOU, NOT THE FORM. GOOD LUCK
