When I dp a squirrel skin ad sewit up on a mannakin, i am having trouble with getting my needle through the edges. It seems that the edges are toughy and thick and hard to poke through. Is this because I am tumble drying the skin after I wash it? and the heat is making the edges brittle? Thanks.

Shon, That squirrel is one tough little package and the solution is a SHARP needle. I keep a small file handy and sharpen a needle at the first sign of dulling. Most needles are not all that sharp when new, especilly the larger sizes so get a little file and make it easy. Enjoy, Aaron Honeycutt
