Been to the archives and looked and some say that they salt and put in frige to set and some say salt and let set out, Sallie Dahmes vhs tape on deer they leave out on a rack after salting, Jan Van Hoesen vhs on bobcats she puts them in a bag and in frige after salting. Is either one ok? Thanks for the help.

But it'll be a very cold day before I store a salted hide in a plastic bag. That leaves the fur setting in salt water. Maybe cats don't have the moisture that deer do, but I salt everything on a rack or hanging.
