I have just finished my first deer mount and starting on my second. I am fairly pleased with it but see where i made alot of mistakes which I will try to correct on my next one. What recommendations could anyone make on the type fleshing tool to buy if i plan to do about 10 heads a year?

Send them to a tannery.

Or invest the money and buy a quality machine. I have been the same road you are now on. I wish I had bought a good machine years ago, even for just ten deerheads. For my money Eager Beaver is it as I can use it in a number of places around the shop and it stores in a small area.

I would recommend the Quebec Lite.

It may seem like alot of money for only 10 deer heads a year. Believe me though it is worth the money by the time saved shaving a hide. I tried the Mini flesher as well as the Dakota IV and the Quebec in my opinion beat them hands down. And for the price you cannot go wrong.

I have 2 Cape Masters. The Cape Master beats all hands down. They are more quite and easier to clean. Works like a charm! Toonster

Thanks for the input.

I have seen the mini fleshers and the quebec lite advertised in Mekenzie and WASCO but have not seen the cape master. Could you tell me where they are sold?
