I notice after 4-5 hides being tumbled, my corn cob grit begins to grow mold and clump together. I realize this is from moister but it doesnt matter if i keep turning it or not to get it to dry. Any suggestions and help needed on how to make it last longer.

For now I would take it all out and change it. It's way to damp and needs to be totally dry to help kill the stuff that grows. Don't let the cob get this damp your best choice may be get new and get rid of the old stuff.
Never had that problem with sawdust. But last year I saw another taxidermist with the mold in corn cob grit so bad as to cause many hides to slip. You can dry it by putting a small fan in the barrel between uses and then tuumble the grit and replace the fan.
