yipeee got my first jack rabbit to work on, is road kill, has a spot of road rash, think will patch that or do only front half to a jackolope, now quiestions!
can i go directly to pickle? or do i salt this skin and dry like i do other critters,
is a female, and there is underfur and summer fur, and was very hot up here yesturday, so ( bruce) should i soak in the preserve a bit to help with iffy hair? there is no smell yet so that is good, just excited! lol
so if any one has any good suggestion for me , please post or email me thanks ! ( john, dont say search this old puter wont and i dont have time to , do post by post , i got a wabbit to skin lol)

Through the whole thing in the pickle.

I did it with a couple of mice and it worked great. A little messy skinning but it gives you all the time you need for skinning without so much worry about that slippage thing. I've never done it with a rabbit though. I wouldn't leave it in there for more than a couple hours, might blow up or something. Just a suggestion.
Good luck, Bill

That's "throw" not "through"
