I ran out of time while skinning and fleshing my first whitetail. I do not have a flesher and this was more timely than I had planned. Ever thing went good except the video and book I had did not go into enough detail on spliting lips and eye lids and I was needing to go to work at my job. I put the cape back into freezer without salting because I had not split my lips and eyes I plan to do that in a couple of days is this ok?

When a cape or hide is spread out it freezes faster and thaws faster.Allow about 4 hours for your fleshing time or more until you get it down.
