I'm going coyote hunting soon and would like to save the tail, also I will be doing some squirrel hunting after that and also would like to save some tails. Whats the best way to go about doing this?

Split the tail and salt it.Then let it dry. This should keep it preserved until you can get it tanned.
well for the squirrel tails all u have to do is pull the bone out of the tail and salt hte end to prevent rotting .then hang on a tree out side for two or three days to dry.hope this helps
