I was reading in the archives about the diseases the animals have cause I was wanting to mount an armadillo but my husband told me to check into it first cause of leprosy. Anyways if you are double gloving it what should you do if you cut yourself? Also how likely is it you will get anything from your critters? Thanks

The occurence in your state may vary from others. My state Arkansas has recommended to cease the Armadillo stews that are cooked in Deer camps each year. Your state bioligist will be better able to help and explain to you the problems.

I would double glove and splater sheild if I had to skin ones. All though Leporsy can be cured with antibiotics, it still could be painfull.
