My question is in your opinion do I need to use the jawset. I mounted a lifesize red fox open mouth. Used the jawset and did all the detail work. Then I placed a pheasant in the mouth. And in simply terms you can't even see the front teeth. When you do a commercail mount like this do you need a jawset. Thanks for your opinions.

What you've already discovered is that it's a waste of time. Just wire the gamebird deeply into the mouth and it's all you need. BTW, I use pillow fill on my bird's bodies so that they compress to fill all the crevices that might exist on the toothless mouth.
