Bird bodies can be made from almost anything, old newpapers, old cotton clothing. Just wrap it with cotton string. Even dried grass hay can by used.
You could also carve one out of a rigid foam. This way you can get a better anatomy of the bird. If need be you can also hot glue a couple of pieces of foam together for bigger birds before carving them. The other way to go is to make molds of the carcasses and use a 2 part foam to make the body. Feel free to e-mail me at jabratt@citlink.net. Later

If your really live in the boondocks look for another type of busness. you can always wrap your own, or purchase some, through
the many catalogs on the market!I think your way out of your league to even ask this type of question. order some catalogs from the Taxidermy industry, and everything is there

I suspect from your question that you are in a different country. Can you find a source of shredded wood? (excelsior) It is used sometimes as packing material for fragile items, particularly in countries without a lot of plastic manufacturing industries. It can be shaped and wrapped with string to make a very useable bird form, as well as a small mammal form if you ever mount those.

With all the different foams around dont use the 2 part less ya realy have to.it can get real messy and why pay hazzard shipping charges . Dont you have a cataloge?if not your on the web go to the suppliers sites and get the right stuff.. Anything that can absorb moisture aint good
...in Alaska either. Taxidermy supplies MUST come through a catalog or we ain't gettin em! I was looking for a coyote shoulder form awhile back and ended up ordering it... you don't have to live in another country to not have things available...LOL
