does anyone have any recomendations on a ffa project (raising of an animal), like whats the fun'est animals to raise?

My wife raised pigs for FFA. If you pick good, lean hogs and raise em up with lots of human interaction and exercise, you should do well. Plus they don't take up as much room as cattle and Sheep are boring. Or, you could just pick your favorite animal. Find out who raises the best animals in your area and see if you could buy a baby from them so you can start out with a good blood line. If they want to gouge you on price, then look elsewhere. find good people that raise quality animals, and you can't go wrong

Pigs are fun, and almost like humans when treated well and cared for 2-3 times daily.
Chickens are also easy and fun,but I vote for the pigs first.
just don't buy the little hairy Runts.
I always bought two , so they wern't lonely. Should have bought 3 though as we called the two lunch and dinner and we forget about breakfast. They taste really good and you know what they were eating.
Have fun and invite us to the pig roast :=)
sheep are easy and pigs are ok but pigs are escape artists and man can they do damage when they get out..i had one that ate a 900 dollar saddle over night and it shouldnt have been hungry it just treated it like a chew toy ;;sheep are alot easier and frankly more sanitary ..hope this helps ps.i have never been bitten by a lamb but a pig bites you and oh man it hurts and your off to the doctors office for a shot...Tracy
ok, i think i will get hogs, and a few chicken, heck, i might just get few of this and that, lol (jsut hogs, and chickens)
Poultry is really fun.They don't take up that much room they are easy to care for and they don't eat a whole lot.I've showed them for about 4 years now.email me if you have any ?'s.Chase

i'm a first year member and i want to raise something fun. i don't like chickens that much, but they're the easiest.i want to raise a pig or something like that.i don't know how hard that would be though.what should i do?
