A customer brought in a bear for a 1/2 lifesize, and he wants
the back feet mounted for a gun rack. I have checked in the
6 or 7 taxidermy catalogs I have and could not find forms for
this. Even if I could find them they would probably be for the
front feet which are wider and shorter. If anyone understands
what I am rambling about please help me, any response will
be much appreciated.
Thanks

I don't know if you have tried these suppliers but I would certainly check them out if you haven't. I do remember seeing forms for bear feet in one of these I'm sure. If you can't find them just cast the feet and you'll have homemade forms with a custom fit. Probably tons of info in the archives on casting. Good Luck, Dan Hudzik
I checked them first, someone has to make them
Had similar requests over the years. What you do is cut off the pads of the rear feet so they are no larger than the front pads. Sew the suckers up and reverse them like the mannikin dictates. You will have a small gap right in the bend sometimes, but most times it works out close enough that a little glue and hair will cover it well. Remind your customer, however, the GOOD claws are on the front feet. I've had guys then complain about the short claws. I gave them a bear anatomy lesson and a few other choice words, so they took them.
Research Mannikins have them.I'm positive.They are $14.50 a pair.It doesn't have a measuremet though.1-800-826-0654
