Heres how to clean a bear skull.....Do a rough job first then boil for one hour then seperate both halves and finish your cleaning job.If you have a compressor you can hook up a straight nozzle and bloww the tendons out of the lower skull.Wha-la you should have a perfect clean skull

What about the grease?

don't mean to step on your toes but bearskulls are extremely greasy and need to go through a degreasing process. Boiling a skull is actually not the best method and I never do it. It can cause too much bone damage and boils the fat and blood right into the skull. There are better methods out there. Also don't forget to put the skull in a bleaching bath after all the fat has been removed.

I would say that if three bear skulls to a batch is enough to avoid a grease fire you have already degreased you skull.

really the best way to clean your skulls is with beetles either wholesale or privatelty.there are several places who do this for taxidermist, you could permanantly damage specimen if your to over boil. Not to mention the labor of cleaning ive been there.
