Questions on pink color inside a deer's nose?

There is periodic question on the shade of pink in a deer's nose. The
answer to that is, it depends on the individual deer, and to a fairly
good degree as to how much physical activity the animal has been engaged in.
One thing that needs to be remembered is that once an animal has been,
shot, field dressed, caped out, the "color" is going to drain from the
animal's head just as a human in shock would do. The color of pink can be muted by the amount of black pigment in the skin that may go past the hair line into the nostril. Some deer may not show as pink until you get well past the hair line.

I just had a photo put on the free down load page of the Whitetail
Designer Systems web site, www.whitetailsystems.com, that helps to illustrate pink. This is a live deer photo, to take maximal advantage
of color shades, you might want to enable your desk top for 32 bit True Color if possible, I loose a little color on the 24 bit setting.

Enjoy,
Glen
