Yep, it's me again.
I just wanted to say, my projects are a success thanks to you guys answering all my questions!
I've been reading your responses and reading the archives and I'm so glad there's a site like this one! I've learned quite a lot.
Also, in my reading, I see that some of you are worried about how a Taxidermist is seen by the general public. So I have to add this..
I live in the boonies, so I went to the nearest big city and went to a taxidermy shop there. The man I met was absolutley wonderful about answering my questions.
I asked the same things I asked here just to get another opinion and yes, he agrees with all of you! ;) He took a look at my project and thought it was ok and painted on a little Liqua Tan for good measure since I was yipping about a slight smell. (He couldn't smell it so maybe it was all in my head? hehe)
He wasn't even going to charge me anything, so I slipped him a decent tip when he wasn't looking for his time and advice. He wasted a half hour on me and it wasn't because he was lonely, since he had 3 employees working!
Anyway, I just thought I'd give you guys a pat on the back and tell of my good experience since it sounds as if some haven't had that, and a thanks for being so helpful to the clueless like me with our little projects!
