Fish forms.

When mounting fish, particularly largemouth bass, where exactly does the top front portion of the form suppose to fit? I have mounted several fish, but sometimes I need to add filler and sometimes I don't. I'm thinking it fits right in between the eye holes. Somebody set me straight on this please. Thanks for your help.

Well you got it right. They don't and some never will fit where they are to go. This is the reason on why many times you and others have to use fillers.
Some and most form are to extend into the eyes or just beind it. If you look into the head you can see the shape of the form and it should match the shape of the brain cavity but it seldom does. I hate to say this but if you want a perfect fit you have to learn to carve your own.

You fish form should be even or behind the eyes. One thing is for sure your fish head will be resting on your form, once filler and fish dry there should be no problem
