repositioning antlers

I have just completed mounting my first deer. (Blacktail) The cape and antlers were from two different animals. After sewing up the incision I noticed that the antlers looked like they were tilted too far back. Not extreme but enough that it's got me thinking. I finished the mount thinking that it was my first mount and a good experience but it would look much better if my positioning would have been accurate. I'm happy with how the rest of the mount looks and I was hoping their is a way to reposition the antlers at this point. I have noticed the detachable antler kits but i'm assuming that should be done prior to this mounting. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

First you should check some side view photo's, You might be suprised
that the antlers might be ok. I know several people who had the same
reaction to their first mount and ended up setting them too far forward
and then it really looked bad.

I might have changed my mind. I have looked at the mount MANY times today and I think that I have actualy attached the antlers pretty close to the right angle. Thanks for your reply. Laurie.
