I would like to see smaller communities have more museums..say like every 100 miles there would be a quality taxidermy museum

Has far as I'm concerned a reproduction would be fine...It is the paint job that's everything what is underneath doesn't matter. The paint job is everything,But can you call that taxidermy...I think not.Taxidermy is the preparing of skins for mounting?
God help us do we need another deer head mount I think not.I would be willing to bet that there is more deer heads mounted/and has ever been mounted since the 30's.What we need is more bird taxidermy I personally enjoy that better.I know this probably doesn't sit well with everyone..It's my opinion
I think it is the warmer climates were you have all the problems with hair slippage.I don't think you get this problem in colder climates. Will someone tell me then why skins have to be prime before a trapper can sell them and make a decent dollar.Well thats what I mean warmer climates=hair slippage.
Pidgeons make great taxidermy subjects.find someone raising them, they come in all kinds of colors.I like the rock dove the best, I think this has got to be the most beautiful of all pidgeons. And remember you can eat pidgeons use corn meal to obsorb body juices
Some people play a lot of cards I never did like cards,so I see no reason why people can't get there enjoyment out of computers there is many things you can do with a computer however you must be able to also put brakes on and say enough is enough
I came out of the last of the horse and buggy,by the way I was mounting birds away back then just starting out thou?....Now we have computers and I still do some taxidermy work..I've gained my inward roads I'll use the computer If I like....If you please

Actually, Las made these seven separate posts one after the other. As the Forums Administrator, I combined them to save space and make them easier to read.

He's always good for a laugh .
And why do they even think about prime hides? Look at the underside of he hide and notice the dark areas. The more "o that the more slippage you'll get, a prime skin has none of the "green" areas and that of course is why the buyers are fussy about prime. I guess some one else might make that more clear but I suspect you know all about that anyway.
