A customer has brougth in a very big Otter for me to mount. It is 37" long from nose to the base of the tail. I don't mind cutting one in half to make it larger but he has said, that he want's it standing on all fours. Everything I have found in this position is to small and I don't
think they would look right if I were to add 10" to it. What to do? If anybody knows where I may find something to use your help would truly
be appreciated!
Thanks,
Thomas

Best solution is to mold the carcass and cast a foam form of your own - this ensures your mannikin is EXACTLY the fit for your skin. Short of that - cut your form into several pieces and "explode' it. Dont add 10" all into one section - spread each piece out a little bit and fill in between the spaces - a quarter inch over a LOT of pieces makes a very smooth transition. then add extra girth to the foam as well - biuld it up with epoxy putty or clay...
I would definatly think about a carcass cast. If you ever get another one you will be set as well. you may be able to sell the mold to a Supplier as well.
