Hi Katie =)

An easy and secure fix for your problem is to fill the chewed area with Epoxy Putty. Its a two part putty mixed 50/50 then applied to the area. It cures rock hard and will fill your chews as well as 'glue' the two sides together. Many kinds are available and everybody has their own favourite. In reality - they all work tho each does have its own little quirks. If you go to a hardware store and go to the glue section where you buy epoxy glue and superglue etc - they should have little packages of it there. They may also have it int eh plumbing sectoin as there is a kind that is used by plumbers (it cures very fast and is used to patch small holes in pipes and to seal joins). There are other kinds available from WASCO and other suppliers such as All Game compund (this is what I use) or Apoxie Sculpt. The hardware variety will suffice tho and save you shipping charges etc. You may find some that is one part brown and the other part white. Go with this as it will closely match most antlers. Mix it up - push it into place making sure to get as much contact with the cleaned surface of the bone as you can. You can build it up in layers if you wish to prevent the putty from sagging as it cures. Start by adding sum all over the surface of the chewed area and keep building inwards until you have closed the gap. If you are happy with it being smooth you are now pretty much done =) If you wish to match the texture let me know and I l will offer further advice on how that can be accomplished. Hope that helps.. have fun =)
