I am using the zinc sulfate,salt,borax solution to tan a king salmon.But I can't find the length of time to keep it in the solution. Any help would be great! thanks,Bill

Bill you dont have to tan fish! most fish mounts are simply dried skin,clean throughly,mount on mannakin,and let dry. Be sure you glue trout and salmon skins to foam mannakins(a thin layer of elmers)or they will tend to wrinkle during the drying process.If this chinook was a sring or summer fish be sure to allow several months for drying time to allow the oil to bleed from the skin before attempting to do the finishing work!Why people buy fish tans is beyond me,its a waste of money!
