I am ordering the deer foot thermometer kit to try for my first project to see if I can do this before getting all the books and videos. I don't see a scraper in the list of included materials, but do I need to order one or should I wait till I get started with something more than just the thermometer?

Jessica, you won't need a scraper for the deer feet. You can pretty much peel off the veins, etc. left on the skin before pickling/tanning. Have fun!
