i'm getting ready to mount a bobwhite and i wanted to know how you keep the feet and head from going bad this is the first one i shot and i've had him for a year any info would help

From the sound of your question, I think you need more info than anybody here would be willing to type. You can buy a video showing how to mount a quail or you can go to your local library and check out a book which will give you enough basics to get started.
