I would not worry about a shortage of work. About 90% or better of the people that decide to become a taxidermist will change their mind. While everyone else is out hunting you will be in the shop caping out deer heads about 14 hrs a day if you are luckey if not more. Also there is more work to it than most prople realize. Just do good quality work and be honest with everyone and you will have all the business you want.

Lenny is right in a lot of ways

Enough work? Sure there will always be enough work, no mater how crappy the work is. Those of us whom choose to do our best work will have enough. Those who crankout mounts that in manys eyes is crap will still have enough work.

So I think it is where you want to be? Do you want to work day and nioght and be married to the shop, let it run your life?

Or do you want to run your life do your best work and make a good wage and put some profit in the bank too? The choice is yours. Many poor quality taxidermist will be going out of business after burning out or decide since Joe down the street gets $465.00 for a head so should they!

I believe in the states higher populated areas there is no problem but for some lower populated areas it isn't that easy to get a lot of work, and those that do get work usually cater to the rich Americas threw outfitting.I could say more but I won't not right now?
