Sweating a cape

Could someone tell me what sweating a cape means and how to do it?

Getting the hide to relax

That is where you take a cape, and soak it in water just long enough to have it absorb the water. Take it out and fold it up and place in a plastic bag. Then put it in the refridgerator for 8 or 10 hours. By then the cape will have absorbed all of the water it possibly can, and should be very relaxed and allow you work the original size back into the cape. rw
