Wild Boar

This might be a stupid question but here it goes.I was told there was a root that the wild bore eat to get the tusk. Is this true and if it is what root is it? Stupid or not curiousity got me !

Carrie, someone is pulling your leg. Swine teeth grow through out thier life. In thery the older hogs should have bigger tusk, but then they break them, and they wear away somewhat.

Sure thier food source ensures the tooth growth, nut nothing that makes it grow individually.

Thanks John for the answer.It was thought to be true by the person who told it. I didnt know so I just had to ask!
