New fleshing beam

I just recieved my new wooden fleshing beam from Van Dykes. I was wondering if I need to treat it with some type of oil or sealer before I use it.

Nope.

Nope, just use it the way it is. After you flesh a few critters, the oil and fat from the hide will penetrate the wood and seal it nicely. If your beam ever gets to gouged up or nasty looking just take out the sander and smooth it down again.
