The Axis deer is the only member of the large deer family
that only shed's it's antler's every other year. And yes,
you were quite correct in thinking it happen's on that partic-
ular animal's birthday! Now go out and take on the day! Oddball

....And you couldn't even buy the dust jacket for that book for $12.50. And they are antlers not horns. The answers were yes and no, but there is a lot more to it than that, especially when dealing with the chital(Axis axis).
