What happens if you don't take the horns off the sheeth and clean them? My idot teacher did not teach me to do that and I mounted one.
Just curious.

Sometimes, nothing

Jerrod, sometimes teachers aren't stupid enough to read minds either. After an extended period, antelope horns may form their own natural glue and adhere permanently. The short term, however, the inner core will rot and slough away and your cases will end up in your customers hands while his 'goat' is bouncing off the floor.

Big problems

Bugs, bugs, bugs, bugs, and more bugs plus the smell! Did you remove the scent glands in the cheeks? Big problems headed your way!

To be honest with you, open the mount back up and remove the horns, boil them auntil the cores are removed and clean them and then bondo the horns back on the cores. BEST TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY!
