PROBLEM picking out right form on deer

I'M trying my first deer needing to know if i have a 17 inch neck will a 16& quarter strech that much.

Hi why dont you try a 16 inch form or 16.5 inch form bigger isnt always better in this regard anyway. IF THE CAPE is steched out at 16&quarter you might want to go smmaller that way the skin will not drum and will lay in all the depresions . Makes fo a better mount.IF you already have tthe form you can alter it to fit the cape good luck..

Since this is your first deer use a slightly smaller neck size on your form and concentrate on your mounting basics. On future mounts you can experiment with making your necks larger. One other tip for you and I'm sure you've heard it before but USE REFERENCE PICTURES!
