Flexiform vs. Rigiform ?

I need help deciding whether to use the flexiform or the rigiform mannikin. I am going to be mounting a lifesize grey fox. This will be my 2nd mount, the first was done on a rigiform. Size and price are the same so there is no difference there. I guess what I am asking is if there is a advantage of one over the other. P.S. there was a similar question in the archives from March of '01 but had no answers.

Differences

Kenny,
The major difference in the flexiforms and rigiforms, is the flexiforms are a flexible (to a degree) urethane foam, while as you know the rigidform are an unbendable urethane foam. Advantage of the flexiform is you can sometimes get away with a shorter incision because the flexibilty of the form allows you to squeeze them into an area where a rigid form won't. Disadvantages are they are difficult to alter and cut. Don't expect the flexiform to bend a whole lot, but it makes getting the front legs and head in with a dorsal incision a little easier. Of course this all depends on pose of the mannikin.
