I checked the archives, and found a lot of hard feelings on this subject. I just want an answer. What kind of caulking do i get at Walmart if I wanted it for a fish skin? I have found .88 caulking in a cardboard tube, and 1.? caulking in plastic tubes in clear and white. Which one would I want for a fish? (If i didn't want to use something else) (Please try and remain calm George and Old Fart. I'm not trying to start a fight, I just want to know.)

White lightning 3006 Clear is the exact same stuff that is called polytranspar fin backing cream.
....Where I figure in this. I have always used caulk, preferably white, as a fish skin adhesive. I may have commented negatively on its use as a hide past for deer heads, as I don't find it to be a good choice for that use. I have used it for small animals in a pinch but there are better products out there for that too.
I like the "White lightning"clear caulk /fin cream but my Walmart doesn't have that brand.I have ACE and True Value, etc but I have never seen W/L anywhere up here. Any other chain have it ?
that's where I get mine
I have used the cheap Wal-Mart caulk for years on fish for an adhesive. I am not much on caulk for fins, it will crack over time. It does work as an adhesive for other animals also, but as stated, there is better products for these animals. Good Luck.
Ever try pulling up carpet or linoleum with the glue used? Well, this is what I use for fish glue for 15 years. It's cheap and readily available. Try it you might like it.
