My son's deer horns are no longer attatched to the skull (they fell off). Is there still a way to mount them on a plaque? Thank You

Yes you can still mount your sons ANTLERS to a panel. McKenzie taxidermy supply offers two alternatives for mounting sheds. One is called the shed antler system and the other is called whitetail shed skull cap. I have used the first mentioned and it works great, buy I'm sure either you choose will work equally well. You can contact them at 1 800 279 7985. Marc R
typo=^O it should say..but I'm sure either you choose...Marc R
The other day when I went on that drawn out explanation on teh difference between antler and horn complete with examples - hehe - this was why - ppl still interchange those words. Like my buddies dad who has a bag full of 12 gauge "bullets" when he goes out duck hunting ;P
Marc, Thanks for the info....sorry about the faux pas using "horns" instead of antlers...one other question...I got on the McKenzie web site and found both products. The shed antler system was substantially more in price than the shed skull cap...was wondering why? Also, the discription of the shed antler system was much more detailed than the shed skull cap. Brad
I believe the difference in price can be attributed to the materials used in the construction of each system. Like I said either will work, it's up toyou which one you choose to use. The later will require some drilling, screws, and would recommend some type of epoxy. Good luck. Marc R
