Im just startingout and wanted to know if i Can use Evaporated salt for pickling and salting the hides?

Yes, evaporated meat salt that I buy from the local feed store in 50 pound bags is all we have ever used.

Also sells fine stock salt that only costs $2.50 for 50#.
