re freezing

Hello
I am new to this site and taxidermy. I bought a cape from some one and it is frozen. I had them ship it to me 2 day shipping. I think it will either be thawed till it gets here or close to it. if it is thawed or partly thawed would it hurt to re freeze it untill I am ready to mount it. Or should I just mount it right away.
Thanks Don

FREEZER, so it can freeze fast, when capes are balled up and tight it can take days to freeze, this allows bacteria to work and build up. Same for thawing, no plastic bags and as it thaws unroll it.

refreeze okay

capes will refreeze several times - everytime your refreeze, though, you risk the chance of slippage - i used to freeze and refreeze but now twice is my limit - i will freeze orignal cape and thaw it and work on hide and if i don't get it done then i will refreeze - i thaw it a SECOND time and finish job and then mount - NO PROBLEMS ever this way
