Go to the DNR in PA and say you want a permit.

They'll take it from there.

You can not just go and get one from the DNR. You need to take a test to get a license in the state of Pennsylvania. If you don't know our laws here plese don't try and tell them what to do. The fine isn't worth it and I know you and I aren't going to pay for it.

David you need to contact your local Game Commision on this and ask them to send you info on how to obtain what you need. They will send you a list of what you need to have done depending on what your looking to do. You will find out you can do just fish, mammals etc. You can not do work for others but you can be gifted with animals from them. You can not return any mounted animals to them even if you did it for free. You can be acused of doing taxidermy and end up in some trouble. All gifted animals must have the hunters information and signature on it and that it was gifted to you.

You should look into joining the State Association, if you look and click on the button above you here it would be worth you wild. At every State competition they have a few folks there that help out newbe's on how to get your license and do things legal while your learning to get one. Our laws are a bit confusing at times so it really is worth it this way you can talk to the game commision and some of the judges that help out with the test. If I can help out any other way e-mail me.

Our laws here in Pennsylvania can become quite miscontrued, call your local WCO or game warden and request an aplication. Alo as Frank stated, join your state association, the test is not an easy one for some but there's lots of us that will help you get through it. I don't agree with how they've now categorized the testing ie: big game license, fish license etc etc but I suppose for revenues sake they chose to go that route. Decide wether you want to specialize in a certain aspect or go for the whole shebang, I recommend doing it all.

Thanks
