Apoxie Sculpt works great!

I used to just leave the ears alone and card them while they dried, but even if you can achieve a sharp edge by carding, the whole ear always looked thin and dried out to me (sorry George!).

Recently I've been turning them and putting a little ball of apoxie sculpt inside. Then form the ear to the right shape. It works great!

I normally turn the ears and insert a ball of Critter Clay available from McKenzie Taxidermy Supplies. I hope this helps.
