Yes, you can freezer the squirrel and I would advise that you order also
a video on mounting. You can get one from most suppliers and decide if you
want to do a dorsal cut or what. It also depends on how you want to preerve
it for mounting. You may want to wet tan, dry preserve it, etc.
WASCO squirrel mounting kit comes with DP so don't salt, freeze the squirrel whole and wait til it arrives...It comes with some instruction. You should order the SD squirrel mounting video from WASCO which shows you how to mount using that kit your think of ordering.
These guys have odne a great job answering your question but I just wanted to add something on the skinning part. If you get the chance to practice on a few "spare squirrels" first I would do it.
They are real easy to skin on the body BUT and a big BUT, you have to be real careful on the feet. The squirrels feet will be skinned all the way down toward the last digit in it's toes. If you are not careful and put too much pressure pulling on the skin and cutting at the same time, you can rip the hide right off the foot! And that is DEFINITELY speaking from experience! haha I just barely cut, push the skin down with my fingernails as far as I can, then pull EASILY until you can see where to cut again. Definitely get a video like both these people said and what I said will make alot more sense.
Good Luck,
Baz
