Is it safe to mix Basacryl and Skin Prep?

I purchaced a Small Mammal Tanning Kit from WASCO. The second step calls for mixing 1 gal of cool water with 1 oz. skin prep and 1 capful of Lysol. I read the archives on the rumors of Lysol not being sufficient enough for use as a bacterial or cleaning product so I purchased some Basacryl instead. My question is, can I use Basacryl with the Skin Prep mixture that came with the kit? Will it harm the squirrel pelts(hair slippage,etc.) if so what is an alternative for this step in the process? Any advise would be helpful.Thanks

Yes, you can use Basacryl in place of the Lysol. It will not hurt anything to mix Basacryl with the Skin Prep.
