Measurements after pickle

Hi,

Need opinions, can I take measurements from a cape while in pickle, or should I take em after the cape is tanned? Id like to get started on ordering the form now and Im not sure how much it matters if I measure the cape before its tanned.

If you measure during the pickle process, it wont be right, wait until it is tanned

Thats how I do it Andy

I am not saying thats correct but worked for me on a couple of deer heads, stretch it a bit across the neck and measure! the capes seem to stretch long ways for some reason! I am a beginner myself, so take it for what it is worth.

Im just learning myself. working with a pro and found that you can not measure enough. I would measure before, after and during.
