I harvested a nice snow goose in Arkansas on Monday. The bird Laid in the field for about 3 hours in teperatures ranging from the upper 20's to the upper 30's. I then put the bird in the cargo space of my SUV and drove 10 hours home prior to freezing the bird. The average temperature in my suv was probably in the 60's, I did not have a cooler to put the bird in for the trip. will this bird still be ok for mounting?

I did the same thing you did with about 15 snows we harvested last year in MD. we originally had no intentions of mounting any, but when we got home we changed our minds, so in the freezer some went, I am currently doing the last of 4 now and have had no problems. Good Luck!
