New to taxidermy, whats the difference betweena a cape and a hide? What about green & raw, is this the samething. last one a wet
tan, does that mean that dry preserve was not used? thanks

Short and Sweet

Cape is the head, neck and shoulderskin of an animal for a mount.
Hide is the complete skin, usuallywithout a mountable head or feet.
Lifesize(L/S) is the complete and probably mountable skin with the feet.
Green and raw are the same thing.
Wet tan is tanned but not dried. A dry tan will be dried out and will have to be rehydrated before mounting.
